Complete

Hello everyone!

Short on updates, I know. Summer has really kept me busy. I do have some good news though! The ambient album that I have been working on for a long time is finally finished and I am currently discussing details with a an indielabel for releasing it. I will let you know more when everything is settled.

And another weekend went by

The new ambient vocal track is coming around well. I’ve allmost completed the instrumental part in fact! I’m actually going to make it a duet. The lyrics went in that direction so I’ve talked to an old friend to bounce some ideas and hopefully she’ll also sing together with me!

After sitting in front of the computer allmost all saturday with this track I had to take a break, so I went to see some of my friends back were I used to live (and grew up).  We played some Xbox and had an overall great time. I especially loved playing the Call of duty – World at war - Nazi zombies mod. It was hilarious trying to survive the hordes of walking dead coming our way.

Thursday madness

Some pictures taken by myself from this thursday when me and my friend Erik went to München bryggeriet in Stockholm to listen to Cosmic Gate. I wasn’t to impressed by the music but I really enjoyed the lasershows!

Taking it Back to the 80’s

Oh yes, definitly..

I’m currently in production with another muscial being, recreating some sexy beats from the good old 80’s. Just thought I’d let you in on a little snack to be.

Some opening words

Some might have noticed my absence. What have I been up to?

Mostly trying to tend to personal matters, but I also lost my interest in music. I think what triggered it was that I had forgotten why I started making music in the first place. The “serious” side in me took over completely and critisized everything I did to a point that I couldn’t enjoy the music I made. As an artist I know I’m not alone with these feelings, but for me to continue I need to be happy about my work to some point or it becomes pointless.

Why did I start making music? I remember as a little kid when I started to sing I used to love the attention. As the kid turned into a boy the playful side took over and wanted to make music just for fun. The boy became man and wanted to make a difference.

These are the things I will try to remember, especially when times get tough.

A final note to those who kept in touch, despise my absence. Thanks for helping digging me out.

My new home is up, and I want to give a big thank you to my friend Erik who’s hosting this place, installed wordpress and helped me with the redirection of my webaddress. Finally, nickbeman.se is live again!

I’m not much of a blogger but I will try to keep this place alive and interesting, so make sure to bookmark this page. :)
